What It Means To Be A Founding Member

Every community has a beginning.

FOUNDING MEMBERS is for the people who were right here…near the start of the Nice Guy Algorithm and before we knew exactly how far this idea might travel.

Founding Member status applies to people who join NGA before 31 December 2026 and take part in helping the community find its feet.

That might mean posting, asking questions, offering feedback, reporting broken links, helping new members, sharing useful examples, or simply helping set the tone in the early days.

Being a founding member does not mean you own the place and it does not mean you are automatically staff.

It means you were here early enough to help shape the tone, test the ideas, ask the first questions, spot the weak spots, and help us build the culture properly.

As NGA grows, we will need trustworthy people who understand the spirit of the place.

That may eventually include moderators, helpers, translators, regional organisers, language-community leaders, project partners, or other roles we have not even thought of yet.

When those needs arise, we will naturally look first toward the people who helped build the place from the beginning. One future goal is to find ethical ways to monetise NGA so the site can support itself and create real opportunities for the people who help build it.

Meanwhile, the main rule is simple:

Help keep the place useful, decent, curious, and human.
