It’s those greyed-out snippets that sometimes appear before the final answer. No, they aren’t the official answer, and they aren’t a complete transcript of what Flicker…or your digital buddy…is doing. They certainly do “flash by” pretty quick, too! About the CREATE YOUR WORKMATES category.
But they can give you a feel for the process. I like to watch them flash-by. I’ve learned plenty about how Flicker processes things.
You’ll see the AI checking what kind of quest it is tasked, noticing whether a file is involved, deciding whether it needs to be careful, spotting a possible mistake, or choosing the next practical step.

The flash-bys are useful because they remind us that AI is not simply spitting out magic words. It is sorting, checking, narrowing, rejecting, and assembling.
The raw internal reasoning cannot be shown as a full transcript because it is not a clean teaching document. It may contain partial thoughts, safety checks, discarded paths, tool decisions, false starts, and operating instructions. Showing it raw could confuse people or make rough working notes look like final conclusions.
What matters for Nice Guy Algorithm members is that the process can be explained…thanks, Flicker.

The lesson we all need to take on board is not that AI is secretly human. It’s not.
The lesson is that useful AI work involves context, constraints, judgment, caution, and iteration.
Think of it this way:
You dump the box of puzzle pieces onto the table.
AI starts sorting edges, colours, corners, sky, trees, faces, road signs, and odd bits that might matter later.
But you are still the one looking at the picture on the lid.
You good people stay in charge.
