Okay…what **ARE** night scrawls? Over forty years I’ve had a ballpoint and a notepad close by. When I woke up in the middle of the night because maybe there was a noise somewhere…the dog jumped on the bed…too hot or cold…or my bladder needed immediate attention…I always grabbed the pen and wrote down what I knew was a fleeting interruption of my dreaming.
